Two Jewish Men Stabbed in London Attack
Two Jewish men were stabbed in Golders Green in north London on Wednesday. Police declared it a terrorist attack and launched a terror investigation.
The attack is being looked at as possibly antisemitic. The victims were aged 34 and 76.
They were taken to hospital with knife wounds and are in stable condition. A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Reports say the suspect also tried to stab police officers. He was tasered before being arrested.
Reports say Prime Minister Keir Starmer held an emergency government meeting in response. An Iranian-linked group called HAYI claimed responsibility for the attack, sources say. Reports also say recent weeks saw arson attacks on Jewish ambulances and synagogues in the area.
Klear Note — Golders Green is a neighborhood in London with a large Jewish community. Antisemitic attacks in the UK have increased in recent years.
