UK Activist Arrested Over English Channel Dinghy Video
UK activist Danny Tommo is also known as Daniel Thomas. Police arrested the 37-year-old on September 24 2026.
He is suspected of criminal damage meant to endanger life. He also faces related maritime offences.
The arrest followed police checks on video footage from September 22. The footage reportedly showed Thomas slashing a dinghy with a knife.
This happened in the English Channel. Thomas allegedly posted the video himself.
It then spread widely online. Reports say a rescue crew member was still on the dinghy.
The dinghy had been used to carry migrants across the Channel. Police said Thomas remained in custody.
