UK Lib Dem MP Arrested for Assault and Coercion

Cameron Thomas is a UK Member of Parliament for Tewkesbury. Police arrested him on Wednesday on suspicion of assault and coercive behaviour.

He is 43 years old and a former military officer. Gloucestershire police interviewed him and then released him on bail.

The Liberal Democrats suspended his party membership during the investigation. His access to parliament was also temporarily removed. Thomas has been the MP for Tewkesbury since the 2024 general election.
