UK PM Burnham Affirms Ukraine Support During Kyiv Visit
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was his first foreign trip since taking office.
He affirmed support for Ukraine despite warnings from Moscow. The UK plans to give Ukraine secret missile blueprints.
These blueprints show missile parts to boost long-range missile production. The information covers UK-made parts in the French SCALP missile.
SCALP shares British and French technology with the Storm Shadow missile. The transfer aims to help Ukraine build missiles locally with France.
It is not meant as an immediate handover of complete missiles. Burnham will also co-chair a Kyiv meeting.
It is called the Coalition of the Willing. Moscow warned of increased tensions with Britain.
Russia said the UK was adding fuel to the fire. Britain first gave Ukraine long-range strike weapons in 2023.
Moscow warned the move could hurt peace efforts. Russia also threatened to destroy missile-production sites.
