UK PM Burnham Exchanged Messages With Wiles Impersonator

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham exchanged messages with an impersonator. The impersonator claimed to be Susie Wiles.

Wiles is Donald Trump's chief of staff in the US. BBC, The Guardian and the Financial Times reported the story.

Only a few messages were sent between them. No messages contained important information.

Concerns arose after the contact was noticed. The British Embassy in Washington, D.C. quickly alerted the White House.

Politico first reported this security breach. Downing Street declined to comment on it.

Burnham became UK prime minister on July 20 2026. This incident follows a similar case from May 2025.

Then someone posing as Wiles contacted senior officials and business leaders. The FBI and White House opened a probe. Wiles believed her phone contacts had been hacked.
