UK Police Review Old CCTV in Dando Murder Case
Police are reviewing old CCTV footage from London, UK. It comes from Putney Bridge Underground station.
The review relates to the unsolved 1999 murder of Jill Dando. Dando was a BBC broadcaster.
She was shot in 1999. New technology let detectives review the 27-year-old footage.
The footage reportedly shows an unidentified man. He was on a possible escape route.
This was about 20 minutes after the shooting. Scotland Yard said the review is part of existing inquiries.
It is not a new investigation. Barry George was convicted of Dando's murder.
But he was acquitted at a retrial in 2008. Detectives have previously said the murder may never be solved.
Klear Note — CCTV is security-camera video that can help police trace people's movements.
