Ukraine and Russia Dispute Ceasefire Violations

Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire for Orthodox Easter. It ran from Saturday at 4pm to Sunday at midnight.

Both sides accused each other of breaking it. Ukraine's military recorded 2,299 Russian violations.

These included shellings, drone strikes, and assaults. President Zelensky said his forces would respond to attacks.

Russian leaders said Ukrainian drones hit targets in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Two adults and a child were injured in the Kursk region.

Klear Note Ukraine and Russia have fought since 2022. Both sides sometimes agree to short truces for religious holidays. Ceasefire violations are common during these pauses.
