Ukraine Drone Strike Kills at Least 13 in Tatarstan, Russia
Ukraine launched a drone attack on Tatarstan, Russia on August 10. The strike hit Nizhnekamsk an industrial center in Tatarstan.
Nizhnekamsk is about 600 miles east of Moscow, Russia. Reports say at least 13 people were killed.
The Associated Press said a child was among those killed. The Associated Press also said 75 people were wounded.
UPI reported a different death toll of 22 people. The two reports gave different numbers of deaths.
The Associated Press said the attack hit industrial and civilian buildings. A refinery was reportedly hit as well.
Russian officials said Ukraine launched hundreds of drones. The drones targeted places inside Russia.
Officials linked the drones to deadly strikes. Those strikes killed more than a dozen people. This was the latest in a series of deep strikes into Russia.
