Ukraine Hits Russian Oil Terminal and Shadow Fleet Tankers

Ukrainian drones hit Russia's Primorsk oil terminal and started a fire. Local leaders said the fire was put out quickly.

No oil spill occurred. Russian air defenses shot down more than 60 Ukrainian drones during the attack.

Ukrainian forces also used sea drones to hit two tankers near the Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea. The tankers were part of Russia's shadow fleet used to move Russian oil.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the tanker attacks on Telegram. Ukraine said it will keep using long-range weapons to hit targets at sea, on land and in the air. Both sides have kept firing hundreds of drones at each other every day.

Klear Note Ukraine and Russia have fought since 2022. Shadow fleets are ships that hide Russia's oil sales to avoid Western sanctions. Both countries use drones daily in this conflict.
