United Airlines CEO Pitched American Airlines Merger
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby pitched a merger with American Airlines. He raised the idea in a meeting with President Trump.
This was in late February. The merger would join the two largest United States airlines by capacity.
No deal talks have been confirmed yet. Such mergers are very hard to approve due to antitrust rules. Some people warned it could be bad for flyers.
