US Court Rules Jury Will Be Anonymous in Mangione Trial
Luigi Mangione appeared in a New York courtroom Tuesday morning. Plans for his state murder trial were nearly finalized.
A judge ruled the jury will stay anonymous. Mangione is accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
The hearing was likely his final court appearance before jury selection starts. His lawyers have not said what defense they will use.
Meanwhile prosecutors are in a dispute over evidence. Mangione's trial is set to begin on September 8 2026.
