US-Iran Talks Stall Over Compensation Demands
Talks to end the war have stalled. The dispute is over reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

He also wants payment for Iranian civilians killed in past conflicts. This includes USS Cole attack victims and Iranian-backed attack victims.
Trump said Iran's reparations demand was new to the talks. He opposes Iran's conditions especially its reparations demand.
The rival demands are delaying an end to the conflict. They are also delaying reopening of the shipping route.
