US, Iran Trade New Attacks as Houthis Strike Saudi Cities

Iran-backed Houthi fighters attacked four Saudi cities on Tuesday. Missiles and drones struck Aramco oil facilities across Saudi Arabia.

The attacks reportedly started fires and wounded 73 people. They also reportedly targeted Aramco sites in Najran and Abha.

Fighters also reportedly struck King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait. The US and Iran traded new attacks near the Strait of Hormuz.

The US downplayed Iran's capture of an unmanned submarine there. The Houthi strikes threatened shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

They also threatened shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb strait. This could widen the conflict beyond Iran.

Oil prices were near $100 a barrel amid rising tensions. President Trump said oil prices will drop fast.

He said this will happen once the Iran war ends. The escalation follows weeks of clashes in Yemen. Those clashes shattered a four-year truce.

Klear Note — The Strait of Hormuz is a key sea route for oil shipments.
