US Jet Disables Iranian Tanker After Trump War Threat

President Trump warned Iran to accept a peace deal. He said refusal would bring a new wave of US bombing.

Shortly after his warning a US fighter jet fired on an Iranian oil tanker. The jet disabled the tanker's steering system.

The tanker was heading toward an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman. Its crew had ignored multiple warnings about a US naval blockade of Iran's ports.

The US and Iran are officially in a ceasefire. But this incident has added serious tension to talks.

The White House says it may be close to a 14-point agreement with Iran. Both sides are weighing a fresh proposal to end the war.

Oil prices fell 7% before steadying. That drop was linked to the ongoing negotiations. The current conflict began on February 28 2026 when the US and Israel launched air strikes on Iran.

Klear Note The US and Iran have been in conflict since February 28, 2026. A ceasefire is currently in place, but tensions remain high during peace negotiations.
