US Keeps Striking Iran After Ship Drone Attack

The US military struck Iranian military targets on Saturday. The strikes came after an Iranian drone hit a container ship flying the Cyprus flag.

US forces said Iran attacked the ship directly. One crew member is missing.

US forces hit about 140 Iranian targets in this round. It was the third round of US strikes this week.

Total targets hit this week now exceed 300. Iranian forces also launched wide attacks on US allies and bases nearby.

Iran reportedly struck an air base operated by Jordan. Qatar's military stopped a missile attack aimed at the country, reports say.

These strikes are part of growing military clashes between the US and Iran. Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it fired a warning shot at a ship.

The ship was reportedly using an unauthorized route. Iran then said it closed the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump said the Strait is still open. The disagreement shows rising tension over control of a key shipping route.

Klear Note The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman. About one-third of world's oil passes through it. Control of this strait is strategically important to many countries.
