US Strikes Iran After Strait of Hormuz Attacks
The US launched strikes on Iran after Iranian attacks on ships. The ships were in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran attacked three ships carrying civilian crews. The US said the strikes aim to impose heavy costs on Iran.
On the same day the US also cancelled Iran's right to sell oil. Iran warned it will take decisive measures in response.
The US and Iran signed a temporary peace deal last month. These new attacks and strikes show that deal is breaking down. Control of the Strait of Hormuz has long been disputed between the US and Iran.
