US Rep Tom Kean Returns After Months With Depression

US Representative Tom Kean returned to Congress on June 30. He had been away for nearly four months.

In a speech on the House floor he said he had depression. His last vote before leaving was on March 5.

He missed more than 140 votes during his time away. Kean is a Republican from New Jersey.

He is running for a third term in a competitive district. His opponent is Democrat Rebecca Bennett who is a former Navy helicopter pilot. Democrats are trying to win his seat.
