US Vice President Visits Hungary
US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Hungary. He visited Prime Minister Viktor Orbán before elections.
Vance's wife Usha Vance joined him on the two-day trip. Hungary's foreign minister Péter Szijjártó welcomed them both.
He said the visit signals a good period in Hungarian-US relations. Opposition leader Péter Magyar said foreign countries should not interfere in Hungarian elections. Orbán trails the opposition by 8 to 20 percent in polls.
Klear Note — Hungary holds elections soon. The US visit shows support for Orbán's government. Opposition leaders worry about foreign influence in their elections.
