Vance Heads to Switzerland for US-Iran Nuclear Talks
US Vice President JD Vance has left for Switzerland. He will meet with an Iranian team on Sunday.
Vance said he will focus on nuclear issues and fighting in Lebanon. Iran's military said it closed the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran said this was a response to Israeli military action in Lebanon. The US military disputed Iran's claim about closing the strait.
Iran warned the talks are unlikely to move forward. It said progress depends on the fighting in Lebanon stopping.
President Trump threatened to place tolls on ships using the Strait of Hormuz. He said this would happen if no final deal is reached within 60 days.
