Welsh Water Fined £44.7m for Sewage Failures
Welsh Water must pay a £44.7m penalty for sewage failures. The water company in Wales, United Kingdom, failed to run its sewage network properly.
It did not operate, maintain, or upgrade its wastewater systems. Senior managers did not properly check the company's work.
