Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Received No Early Warning Before Kyiv Strike
On Monday Russia struck Kyiv, Ukraine, with five ballistic missiles. The missiles hit civilian infrastructure.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine received no early warning. Its partners sent no alert before the attack.
He called the attack “particularly vile.” The Guardian reported that the United States threatened to halt intelligence sharing. His comments came after that threat.
Reports linked the threat to Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil facilities. But President Trump said the United States continued to share intelligence.
Ukraine's foreign minister also said intelligence sharing with the United States continues. The minister blamed the missing warning on a “special type” of weapon. The lack of warning alone does not prove intelligence sharing stopped.
